Culture declares a climate & ecological emergency

I am imagining a better world, a fairer world, where creativity and playfulness is for everyone. I want my work, and the actions of those I work with, to leave our planet in a better place than where we found it. I want my work to create opportunities for others, especially those who start with less to begin with. I want my practice to nurture hope and inspire action. Culture and creativity are of the essence here, through telling stories, resting and sitting around a fire.

We are living through in an unprecedented epoch. Our very homes are changing dramatically with temperature rises, indeed, some homes are already in watery graves. It seems hopeless, sometimes.

But if we keep burying our heads in the sand, we will eventually run out of oxygen. Building a fairer world and committing to pursuing climate justice and anti-racism are huge aims, but I need to keep the big picture in sight to help me navigate the muddy waters ahead. It is not about perfection, I will make mistakes along the way, my colleagues and friends will too. That’s ok. We are human, flawed, and wonderful.

Welcome.
