Art & Wellbeing Workshops

Play & curiosity

My teaching ethos is focused on play and exploration of found materials with an emphasis on curious approaches to the environmental crises we are living through. I encourage my students to pursue a ‘what if…?’ approach. My workshops & outdoor learning events are open to children and adults developed around play schemas, which is a theory of open ended play that children adopt to investigate the world. This approach is really fun & works just as well for adults and children alike! I am a qualified teacher and workshop leader with over 15 years’ experience so you will be in safe hands.

Some example activities include:

  • Lichen walks

  • Trash-emblage (sculptures made from waste materials)

  • Glimmer galleries (walk for 15 mins, taking photos, for example, of all the living things you see)

  • Nature treasure hunts

  • Plant mandalas

  • And so much more!

I have worked with arts organisations such as Walk Wheel Cycle Trust, Arts Council England, Wantage Council, Stitched Up Theatre, ONCA, public artist Kerry Lemon, schools in London & across the South East as well as private sector businesses.
